Biography
Giuliana is a graduate of Binghamton University, where she earned her Master of Social Work after receiving her Bachelor of Social Work the year prior. During graduate school, she participated in the New York State Office of Mental Health Evidence-Based Practice Fellowship and gained valuable clinical experience providing counseling services at a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic.
Giuliana believes therapy is one of the few places in life that is dedicated entirely to the client. It is a space to slow down, feel heard, and prioritize your own well-being without judgment. She strives to create an environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves while working together to better understand their experiences and move toward their goals. Her approach is client-centered and strengths-based, drawing from evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), and mindfulness-based interventions to meet each client's individual needs.
Giuliana has clinical experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, and older adults in both school and community mental health settings. Through her work in schools, she developed a passion for supporting children and adolescents as they navigate the social, emotional, behavioral, and academic challenges that can impact their well-being. Her experience also reinforced the importance of working collaboratively with families, educators, and other supports to help children succeed both inside and outside the classroom. While she has a special interest in working with school-aged children and young adults, Giuliana enjoys working with clients of all ages and believes everyone deserves a space where they feel supported and understood.
Outside of the therapy room, Giuliana enjoys staying active by going to the gym, spending time outdoors, and playing sports. She also enjoys reading, traveling, watching movies and television, and spending time with friends and family.
