Biography
AnnMarie Logan received her Master's in Social Work at Stony Brook University, with a focus on integrated health. She also received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from St. Joseph’s University with a minor in English. AnnMarie has experience in both micro social work through her work, first as a clinical intern, then as a therapist, as well as mezzo/macro social work through her time working as a care coordinator, which rounds out AnnMarie’s understanding of person-centered care.
AnnMarie's therapeutic approach is an eclectic, person-centered and trauma-responsive blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strengths-based approach, and Motivational Interviewing. AnnMarie believes that the utilization of these clinical approaches are helpful in reaching personal and clinical goals, but fully believes in the importance of the therapeutic alliance built between herself and her clients because it allows for collaborative and supportive healing.
AnnMarie also has experience in working with clients who have diagnoses of anxiety, depression, substance-use disorders, C-PTSD/PTSD, eating disorders, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. AnnMarie also has experience in working with those who are LGBTQIA+. AnnMarie has also obtained continuing education in EMDR (not yet certified), Flash EMDR (Four Blinks Approach), Schema Therapy and Personality Disorder Training.
In her personal time, AnnMarie enjoys spending time with family as well as her pets. She also enjoys creative writing, listening to music, running, painting, photography, baking, and seizing the moment to try new things.
