Biography

Eun Jee Pak received her Master's degree at the University of Tennessee after she received her BA in South Korea. After she earned her MA, she moved to NY and worked as a social program coordinator.  Her essential roles included educating the community about mental health, conducting support groups, and providing one-on-one case counseling for financially underprivileged populations in NYC.

During her academic and career journeys, she had many transitions from one place to another which enabled her to deepen her understanding of coping with changes and transitions into different cultures and social settings. She has been providing services to people who are experiencing transitional problems including immigration, school, career, or family dynamics.  Ms. Pak continues to use her knowledge, experience, and professional training skills to serve clients who suffer from various behavioral problems, mood disorders, and personality disorders.

Ms. Pak strongly believes in "believing yourself comes after knowing yourself" so her therapeutic approach to clients is based on self-awareness, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Also, she can provide culturally tailored counseling sessions and community outreach programs in Korean and English.

"A counselor is not a leader but a guide who helps you to navigate through the darkest storms."
