Biography
Maggie is a trauma-informed psychotherapist who works with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, trauma, depression, life transitions, identity development, and relationship challenges. She believes therapy should feel collaborative, grounded, and genuinely human, a place where clients feel supported in exploring their experiences, deepening self-understanding, and creating meaningful change.
Maggie takes an integrative, person-centered approach to treatment, grounded in humanistic- existential therapy and informed by Cognitive-Behavioral (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral (DBT), and trauma-informed modalities tailored to each client’s individual needs and goals. She values authenticity, empathy, curiosity, and cultural humility, and strives to meet each client exactly where they are.
She has clinical experience across outpatient, college counseling, and inpatient psychiatric settings, including work with survivors of trauma and individuals living with serious mental illness. Maggie earned her MSW from Fordham University and completed the NYS Office of Mental Health Evidence-Based Practice fellowship. She also holds a master’s degree in clinical psychology in education from Teachers College, Columbia University with focus on child & family development and spirituality. She completed doctoral studies in clinical psychology at Saybrook University with specialized training in complex trauma and the healing process, and has additional training in neuropsychological assessment and evaluation. Maggie is currently obtaining additional training in emotion-focused couples therapy (EFCT).
Maggie feels honored to walk alongside clients in their healing journeys. When not in sessions, you can usually find her camping, jogging in the park, or playing video games on the couch with her fluffy rescue kitty, Suki.
