Biography
Naomi is currently pursuing a PsyD degree in Clinical Psychology at Capella University. She has a variety of work experience in mental health as a creative arts therapist, ranging from school setting, home-based services, outpatient clinic, psychiatric inpatient treatment, rehab programs, to virtual services. Naomi has worked with children and adults with emotional disturbance, such as depression or anxiety, chronic or acute stress, past trauma, substance use, behavioral issues, loss and grief, as well as life transition and adjustment.
Naomi values empathy. She utilizes mindfulness and strength-based approach in her services. She strives to offer a non-judgmental and encouraging space that enables self-exploration and self-reflection. She also encourages her clients to examine critical issues from different perspectives. Recognizing the specific needs and unique background of each individual, Naomi incorporates psychoeducation and skill training in her services when needed. She believes that everyone has the internal strength to make positive changes in life, and she works toward empowering her clients with support and validation.
