I had started therapy at TMW after a few really traumatic events in my life, including a recent breakup and a car accident. I wanted to be in a better mood, express myself with less anger, and work on having more confidence in myself. Dr. Holtz told me my feelings were normal considering what happened to me. We worked mostly on improving my mood and having me stop feeling sorry for myself. He insisted that I get back into my hobbies and start calling my friends again, and we came up with coping statements to help me stay motivated.
